ANABEL ENERGY

Anabel Energy was founded in 2015 by Nikolaas Sobry. Initially the aim was to develop advanced solutions (integrating 4.0 tools) for industrial waste water treatment facilities with energy production and recovery.

 

Anabel secured a Walloon region grant for an innovation project called :  Data-Driven Model-Based Control applied to Anaerobic Digestion of Low loaded Waste Water.

 

Anabel had to solve many interface problems because most companies have fragmented competences of cloud or site related aspects. That is why Anabel decided to master the complete connectivity from site instruments and actuators to cloud control through own decentralized remote IO’s and iot services.

Progressively Anabel specialized in the cloud aspect and withdrew from the project approach, specific process know-how & installation works. Anabel developed a powerful tool enabling his process/installation partners to easily deploy and update industrial control processes.

 

These tools have been tested in 4 successive phases :

  • prototype scale industrial iot environment
  • full scale industrial iot environment
    • 500 k€ anaerobic waste water treatment plant with biogas production and recovery at brewery Halve Maan, Brugge, BE
      (2015→ 2020)
    • 500 k€ anaerobic waste water treatment plant with biogas production and recovery at fromagerie du Gros Chêne, Méan, BE
      (2020→ erection ongoing)
